Premium AW 32, AW 46, and AW 68 hydraulic oils: product comparison

AW 32, AW 46, and AW 68 hydraulic oils use the same anti-wear additive approach; the real difference is viscosity grade. The numbers are ISO VG ratings, meaning kinematic viscosities of roughly 32, 46, and 68 cSt at 40°C. AW 32 is the thinnest and suits cold starts and lighter-duty or high-speed systems. AW 46 is the all-round standard for most industrial and mobile equipment. AW 68 is the thickest and suits hot ambient conditions, heavy loads, and worn pumps. The right choice depends on operating temperature and the pump manufacturer's specification, not on habit.
