ASV track loader designed with longer track life

ASV LLC, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, introduces the large-frame, radial-lift Posi-Track RT-75 compact track loader. The RT-75 features highly efficient hydraulics and a high capacity cooling system while delivering superior serviceability. ASV’s Posi-Track undercarriage provides high ground clearance, low ground pressure, traction and long track life. These features make the compact track loader the ideal machine for applications from construction, landscaping and agriculture to forestry, snow removal and more.

The machine features ASV’s patented Posi-Track rubber track suspension, known for its smooth ride. The dual-level suspension of the RT-75 features both suspended wheels and axles, designed to manage every type of terrain. The suspended wheels and fully-flexible track conform to the ground designed for maximum traction in the roughest conditions. In addition, the multiple wheel contact points and triple-guide lugs performs well on steep slopes. The RT-75 comes standard with 18-inch-wide tracks, resulting in a ground pressure of only 3.6 pounds per square inch. Optional 20-inch tracks lower ground pressures to 3.2 pounds per square inch.

ASV manufactures all rollers with mechanical face seals that don’t require maintenance for the life of the machine. The tracks contain embedded co-polymer cords for extra strength and are produced using a single-cure process, eliminating cure-point weaknesses in the track that can lead to premature breakage. The result is a 1,500- to 2,000-hour track life and a two-year, 1,500-hour track warranty.

The RT-75 achieves Tier 4 Final compliance using a diesel oxidation catalyst that requires no regeneration, no sensors, no diesel exhaust fluid, less wiring and no additional maintenance.

ASV built the RT-75’s auxiliary hydraulic system to be efficient, including 35.7 gallons per minute high flow and 3,300 pounds per square inch. Because the machine includes larger line sizes, hydraulic coolers and directdrive pumps, more flow and pressure is transferred directly to the attachment.

The machine features a rated operating capacity of 2,650 pounds and a tipping load of 7,571 pounds. It is 70 inches wide and has a 126-inch lift height. The RT-75 also is available in a heavy-duty customization package that includes guarding around areas such as lights, the AC condenser and the rear screen. The RT-75 Heavy-Duty uses a hydraulically driven, auto-reversing cooling fan, similar to the fan used on the RT-120 Forestry, to blow debris out of the engine compartment screens. A full rear brush guard is also available as a factory installed option. The unit can be paired with all standard attachments, such as backhoes, buckets, snow blades, brush cutters and pallet forks.

Oilgear variable-displacement, Axial-Piston Pumps

Oilgear variable-displacement, axial-piston pumps thrive on low viscosity fluids. Unlike the competition, our pumps are not limited by bearing life.

Featuring proprietary hard-on-hard technology in which the running surfaces exceed Rockwell 65, Oilgear pumps are some of the most rugged, longest lasting variable-displacement pumps on the market.
A variable-displacement axial-piston pump enables high pressure, high horsepower precision control in a compact package.

Basics

In an axial-piston pump, the pistons and cylinder rotate around the center, longitudinal axis. The pistons and shoes move in and out of the cylinder because they are sliding upon a stationary, variable angle, swashblock.

As the pistons rotate, they alternate between being connected to an inlet port and an outlet port. As the pistons pass over the inlet port, they suck fluid into the piston chamber. As they move over the outlet port, they expel fluid from the piston chamber.

The rate at which the pistons are rotating is controlled by the mechanical rotational input on the pump shaft. The amount of fluid that is drawn into the piston chamber during a rotation is controlled by the angle of the swashblock.

All Oilgear pumps are designed to thrive on low-viscosity fluids, such as high water content and fire resistant fluids, like Skydrol™, Stack Magic™, Erifon™, and 98/2.

THE OILGEAR ADVANTAGE

Hard-on-Hard

The most distinguishing component of our pumps is the patented “hard-on-hard” technology for our rotating group. With our proprietary design, your pump will have a greater resistance to contaminants, higher operation pressures, and the ability to work with low viscosity fluids. This unsurpassed durability can only be found in genuine Oilgear pumps.

Hydro-Dynamic Bearing

Most of the competition’s axial-piston pumps rely on load-carrying, mechanical bearings to support the shaft and rotating group. Oilgear pumps, however, utilize a proprietary hydro-dynamic bearing. The cylinder barrel rides on a thin film of oil.

While other manufacturers are limited by their bearing life (i.e. B10), our hydro-dynamic bearing has no moving parts to wear out, allowing for an infinite bearing life.

Additionally, because there is no concern about contaminating a mechanical bearing, Oilgear pumps are able to run on a wide variety of tough fluids.

Sealed Front Shaft

In an Oilgear pump, the load is supported by the hydrodynamic bearing, not the shaft bearing. This allows for a sealed front shaft bearing. Some advantages of this design approach include:

Easy maintenance of shaft, bearing, and shaft seal
Quick conversions (i.e. keyed to splined)
Operation with special fluids
Capable of being belt driven

EXAMPLE APPLICATIONS

The ability of our pumps to thrive on environmentally friendly, high-water content fluids has caused the Oilgear name to become linked to a number of fluid brands, such as Skydrol®, Houghto-Safe®, Erifon®, Stack Magic®, Pelagic®, and Oceanic®.

Condition Monitoring in Injection Molding

Reactive and preventive maintenance practices just don’t cut it in modern manufacturing. Predictive maintenance – changing parts and fluids only when their conditions deem necessary – is truly the best practice for saving costs and preserving your assets.

That being said, an advanced condition monitoring solution can also be necessary to keep product quality high and scrap low in the injection molding process.

There are several points throughout the injection molding process where changes in an asset’s temperature, pressure, or humidity can compromise product quality. If left unchecked, such changes can lead to:

Part deformity.
Stress cracks.
Extra flashing.
Excess scrap.
Increased recall costs.
Trapped air or moisture.
Shrinkage.
Voids in molded parts.
Overall poor end result quality.
Unmet specifications, like especially tight tolerances.
Consistent and accurate condition monitoring is critical to ensure the molding process isn’t costing your company thousands annually in additional operational costs.
Temperature monitoring

If equipment is running too hot or too cold, the two seconds it takes for the initial mold process can be enough to jeopardize product quality. From the resin storage area to the mold itself, there are varying temperatures that must be kept consistent.

For instance, clogged water channels in the injection mold won’t show an increase in water temperature, but cavity temps will rise, hindering the cooling process and leading to product deformations. Being cognizant of changes throughout the system helps operators quickly diagnose and address issues.
Pressure monitoring

From the injection screw that pushes material into the mold to the clamp that holds the mold shut, insufficient pressure can let air and moisture seep into the material, leading to batch defects:

Short shot: A void of material in a portion of the part due to insufficient pressure
Flash: Excess pressure forces mold open just enough to allow material seepage, resulting in defective parts and potentially damaging the mold
Dimensional variation: Packed mold is fully compressed, but cavity pressure changes at a critical point
Warp: Variations in packing pressure (as well as cooling rate/time) that leads to random distortions in part
Maintaining proper working pressure is a vital part of the injection process.

Humidity monitoring

Plastic resin is subject to changes in ambient humidity conditions in storage containers, as well as the process lines. Too much humidity can add moisture to the resin, changing its properties and preventing it from molding like it’s supposed to.

However, measuring ambient humidity isn’t enough. You need to monitor humidity in the plastic itself, as well as the moisture content of the air being blown from your resin dryers.

A solution that makes sense

Parker’s condition monitoring solution of SensoNODE™ Blue sensors and SCOUT™ Mobile software scans multiple points of interest throughout the injection molding process simultaneously, quickly giving operators a picture of their assets that is accurate and complete.

SensoNODE™ Blue sensors monitor your assets for changes in temperature, pressure, and humidity, then wirelessly transmit that data to SCOUT™ Mobile software’s easy-to-use interface on your mobile device, saving time and reducing labor cost.whyps

Manitou compact telehandler MVT 730

The MVT 730 is a compact telehandler (2.11 m in width and 1.99 m in height) designed with agricultural and industrial activities in mind. The reduced dimensions you can easily navigate narrower aisles or paths as found in an orchard or warehouse, whilst the Varioshift transmission gives you the smoothness and precision you need when approaching and handling fragile loads.
The easily accessible lower driver's cab, JSM system and full panoramic visibility gives you comfort and safety. And Farm Tractor certification (France only) makes it a good choice for agricultural purchasers and users.

Performance

Whether in lifting capacity or height, engine power, longer battery autonomy or drawbar full, Manitou handling equipment shows it is the fruit of the labours of our various development departments. Constantly refining equipment performance is a source of pride for us, and the occasionally extreme working conditions all of us face are when users can see what our machines are really made of.

Rough Terrain

Manitou's all-terrain machines have extra ground clearance to overcome any obstacles in their path (such as potholes or uneven pavement) and keep moving forward when faced with uneven ground conditions. Additionally the 4-wheel drive and large tyres provide all the traction you need to move loads over soft or difficult terrain (such as mud, sand, grass, gravel, etc.). Our engineers have developed equipment with optimized torque for significant tractive force while maintaining an excellent weight/power ratio, balanced weight distribution for each axle and low ground pressure.

Compactness

Compactness is a vital concept for some of the sectors we provide solutions for. If you have to deal with narrow aisles, areas with tight dimensions or low door thresholds, then the sizes of our machines will prove essential to you. And if storing the machine looks to be an issue, you can rest assured with its retracted dimensions. Manitou understands these things and is happy to offer specially developed equipment with maximum compactness both during operation and storage.

Joystick Switch & Move(JSM)

Manitou Joystick Switch & Move (JSM) controls are standard issue for the MLT, MT and MHT lines. This joystick means you can control the whole of boom movements and machine drive forward and backward movements with one hand, leaving you free to keep the other on the steering wheel at all times for improved efficiency. The joystick itself is easier to operate than traditional models, with your hand coming to rest on top.whyps
